Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses. This new virus is SARS Cov-2 which causes the  disease Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). This outbreak began in Wuhan, China and spread across the country and in every state in the US. NYS is presently the epicenter with the most cases. NYS  has completed more testing than any state or country to date.
